Ali K. TarrabaiN
Mr. Tarrabain founded Paragon Law to provide client-focused legal services by exclusively practicing one area of personal injury law. He represents clients injured in motor vehicle accidents including those involving motorcycles and pedestrians. He is also experienced in handling a range of criminal defence matters including impaired driving, narcotic and regulatory offences. Mr. Tarrabain will accept criminal matters including bail hearings on a case-by-case basis.
Prior to receiving his Bachelor of Laws, Mr. Tarrabain pursued studies in political science at Grant MacEwan University. Mr. Tarrabain is a strong advocate for his clients and is dedicated to providing compassionate, empathetic and professional client-focused legal services.

Chakib Fawaz
Mr. Fawaz joined Paragon Law in November 2022 as an Associate. Prior to joining Paragon Law, Mr. Fawaz received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. He then completed his Juris Doctor degree at Bond University.
Upon returning to Canada, Mr. Fawaz completed the National Committee of Accreditation exams and articled at an Edmonton based law firm in Downtown. During his articles, Mr. Fawaz gained experience in the areas of Wills and Estates, Corporate and Commercial Law, Personal Injury Law, Real Estate and Civil Litigation. Throughout his articling term, Mr. Fawaz took part in various different stages of the discovery phase such as mediation, pre-trial conferences and questioning.
Mr. Fawaz will be practicing primarily in the areas of Personal Injury Law.
He is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Mohammed Fawaz
Mr. Fawaz joined Paragon Law in November 2021 as a Junior Associate. He has experience in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law and Civil Litigation. He is also experienced in the various dispute resolution procedures made available by the Courts and will be practicing primarily in the areas of Personal Injury and Criminal Law. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Bond University in the Gold Coast, Australia. Although he enjoyed the beaches and nice weather, he decided to return to Edmonton and serve the community that he calls home.
He is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Theresa thera
Ms. Thera joined Paragon Law in June 2021 as an articling student. Prior to receiving her law degree, Ms. Thera earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Regina majoring in Political Science and minoring in History while earning a certificate in International and Political Governance. She then completed her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law.

tian xia
Mr. Xia joined Paragon Law in July 2020 as a Summer Student. Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Xia pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alberta majoring in Biology and minoring in Statistics. Since his undergraduate studies, he has been engaged in a variety of businesses from software development and financial analysis to real estate investment in British Columbia.
Mr. Xia is interested in the areas of personal injury and criminal law and hopes to be able to draw from his experiences in a wide variety of fields to contribute to client matters.

HONG J. TENG
Mr. Teng joined Paragon Law in the fall of 2020 on a part-time basis; he is currently attending the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law. Prior to attending law school, he gained extensive experience as a bodily injury adjuster at one of Canada’s largest insurance companies. Mr. Teng has worked on complex personal injury matters throughout his years in the insurance industry and the combined value of his settlements range in the millions. He has also worked in insurance underwriting and pension actuary capacities. Mr. Teng is interested in personal injury law with a primary focus on motor vehicle collisions.
He is fluent in English, and Mandarin. He is conversationally fluent in Cantonese.

My passion for personal injury law stems from: being involved in a severe motor vehicle collision at the age of 13. The collision left me wheelchair-bound for nearly a year. The insurance company did not compensate me for my injuries and hiring a lawyer was not an option. Since then, I aim to represent victims of motor vehicle collisions to ensure their interests are fully protected.

Andrew Traynor
Mr. Traynor joined Paragon Law in September 2021 on a part-basis. He is currently attending the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Traynor earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta with a double-major in political science and religious studies. Mr. Traynor is interested in legal advocacy, negotiation, and policy.

Mahdiya Mastoor
Ms. Mastoor joined Paragon Law in January 2021 as a Legal Assistant. Ms. Mastoor received her Legal Assistant diploma from Robertson College in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Culture from the University of Saskatchewan.
